AboutEdit

This heavily promoted shorts festival is the producton of KLLC (Alice) FM. The emphasis is on micro-shorts less than 5 minutes in length. The "3-Minute" is a reference to the minimum length required for most entries. The festival itself consists of one night of screening and prize ceremonies, where $10,000 worth of cash and prizes is awarded.


The fifth Alice 3-Minute Independent Film Festival will be held April 13, 2007 at Bimbo’s 365 Club in San Francisco.

Festival ProgrammingEdit

This one-evening event showcases up to 20 films to an audience of as many as 600 attendees. Filmmakers with works in competition are provided with a private table at the venue.

Submission Guidelines/DeadlinesEdit

Submissions are considered in four categories:

  • drama/documentary
  • comedy
  • animation
  • music video

Submission running times are limited based on the category. Animation 2-5 minutes, all others 3-5 minutes. The deadline for submissions for the fifth annual fesstival is March 26, 2007.

There is no entry fee.

HistoryEdit

In the first four years of its existance the Alice 3-minute film festival screened over 70 short films and awarded $40,000 in cash and prizes.
